ServErie is a community renewal program spearheaded by Grace Church. This initiative represents a desire to address the major social issues facing the Erie community by connecting willing volunteers with social organizations who are poised to serve those in need in our city. ServErie will be successful when the statistics associated with things like poverty, homelessness, teen pregnancy, high school drop out rates, etc. begin to go down instead of up. The gospel of Jesus compels us to bring justice to the poor; to remember the alien, the widow and the orphan in their distress; and to care for the least of these. As Christ-followers, we desire to bring His message of love, justice and grace to those who find life painful, lonely, and/or just plain difficult because of financial insufficiencies.
