We maintain grant money through the Erie County Gaming Revenue Authority (ECGRA) and Keystone Communities to offer home repair money to owners and landlords on East 6th Street, East 7th Street, and East 8th Street between Holland Street and the East Bayfront. We ask for a 10% match.
Erie Redevelopment Authority
The Erie Redevelopment Authority administers various housing rehabilitation programs utilizing federal funds provided by the City of Erie. Assistance is provided to income-qualified owner-occupants to repair basic building systems such as roofs, electrical, plumbing, and to address lead-based paint hazards.
Bethany Outreach Center
Located at 254 E 10th St. – Bethany offers several assistance programs. They are all free and open to the public Monday through Friday 9 am to 11 am.
-Saturday Story Time
Climate Changers provides many services and programs, including mental health and drug and alcohol rehabilitation and support services.
Food: The Blessing Box food pantry is available for pick-up and drop-off. It’s located outside of Climate Changers and New Life
Clothing: Provides professional and everyday clothing for men, women, and children
Erie City Moms
Once a month, Erie City Moms gathers women from all walks of life for opportunities for sisterhood and to get real about the struggles of parenting.
This completely free “Moms Night Out” at Wayne Park Baptist Church, 923 East 6th Street, features a sit-down meal, guest speaker or special event, prayer, and literacy-centered child care lead by master-level reading specialists.
