What is a RAM Clinic?
A Remote Area Medical (RAM) clinic provides pop-up medical clinics around the United States, offering quality dental, vision, and general medical care at no cost to the patient. Volunteers will prepare beginning September 6, and this clinic will be available to any resident of Erie County from September 7-8.
This opportunity is huge for the Erie Community. Did you know that in Erie County, in different zip codes, there can be a 20-year difference in life expectancy just based on where you live? This information led the HHF to go door to door and ask WHY. A lack of resources and trust in the medical field were found to be 2 overwhelming reasons for that statistic.
Volunteer Opportunities
ServErie is honored to help HHF gather an army of volunteers to ensure the success of this clinic. You can be a part of it! We will be offering opportunities to serve during the clinic in hospitality, parking, and their volunteer central room. Volunteers are needed to help load/unload trucks, engage with people in line, provide food for all the volunteers including physicians, walk people to where they need to go, and make people feel welcome, seen, and heard. This is an especially great opportunity for anyone with gifts in hospitality or customer service.
The long-term effects this clinic will have on individuals (both serving and attending) will reach far into our future and beyond.

Do you want to support this cause but can’t make it out to volunteer? You can also donate to help provide water and snacks for all volunteers. On any Sunday in August, bring any of the following to Grace McKean or Grace Harborcreek:
- 100 cases of water
- 20 12-packs of Coke or Pepsi
- 10 12 packs of Diet Coke and Pepsi
- 15 cases of small bags of chips
- 10 boxes of pre-packaged cereal bars (variety of flavors)
- 10 boxes of gluten free,prepackaged snacks
- 15 boxes of prepackaged cookies
- 10 value sized boxes of fruit snacks
